Hello out there. It’s Rosi again…one of the CMG underwriting attorneys and I’m back with my second blog. Happy belated Halloween, early Happy Thanksgiving, happy fall AND (I can’t help myself) YEA YANKS!!!
I just wanted to share this with you: I recently received an update on a plaintiff’s case that CMG funded approximately two years ago. Actually, CMG’s legal funding paid for a surgery that a plaintiff needed after a horrible car accident. The plaintiff, CMG’s client, had no medical insurance and the doctor they needed to perform the surgery required payment upfront. This surgeon, and many others like him, did not want to hold a lien on the plaintiff’s case and wait for his payment until after the case settled or was brought to trial.
The proceeds from our legal funding paid the surgeon, the anesthesiologist and the hospital, at the plaintiff’s and his attorney’s request. It was a win-win-win-win situation all around. The medical facility and doctors received payment for their services and the client/plaintiff (without medical insurance) received the valuable spinal surgery (cervical fusion) he desperately needed after he was hit by a vehicle that ran a red light. CMG was happy to fund this matter…..happy people all around…..so much easier to work with content, positive clients and attorneys…..oh, and a HAPPY BOSS too.
