Hi, all! It’s CSR Millie again. As a customer service representative, we hear everything, and my heart really goes out to those in need. For instance, I just got off the phone with a client who is looking for funding on a wrongful termination case. This plaintiff had a lung transplant and was off work on approved leave for six months, and is now partially disabled. When the plaintiff returned to work, their employer didn’t want to switch them to light duty due to disability, so instead the plaintiff was wrongfully terminated due to poor attendance, even though it was previously approved. This poor client is now faced with the struggle of finding a new job that can help her support herself, pay for her medical bills, and afford daily necessities. Unfortunately, partial disability makes the job search very difficult. Lawsuit funding is one of the remaining options for this plaintiff that still needs treatment and has no medical insurance or available cash. I am requesting documents such as the formal complaint, EEOC report and termination letter from the plaintiff’s attorney’s office so that we can review it and hopefully offer a cash funding to provide financial support until the client finds a new job or her case settles.

- Millie

If you are in a similar situation or know someone who has been wrongfully terminated, ask them to call us at 1.800.264.2274 or apply online for a free funding review. This blog represents an actual CMG call. The personal, employment and medical details of this client interaction have been omitted or altered to protect the plaintiff’s anonymity.

Elyse Webb is a client who recently came to CMG for a cash funding against her sexual harassment/wrongful termination personal injury lawsuit. Elyse was working at a management company when she started receiving offensive emails containing explicit photos from one of her coworkers. She also suffered verbal abuse. When Elyse brought these issues to the attention of her superior, she was told that she had to learn to get along with the offending coworker. Later she was subsequently fired from her position for filing the complaint in the first place.

Working under conditions such as these is hard enough, but losing her job on top of the emotional stress of harassment made Elyse’s situation even worse. With bills piling up, Elyse came to CMG in hopes of getting her finances back on track. Happily, CMG was able to fund her $7,500 which she is using to pay bills, buy groceries, and afford gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

At CMG, we understand that waiting for an employment related personal injury lawsuit to settle can be distressing both emotionally and financially, and we’re here to help! If you’re injured or unable to work while your lawsuit progresses, CMG can help get you the money you’re entitled to now, providing you with financial stability when you most need it.

This is my first blog for CMG. I am admitted to practice law in NY and NJ. I also admit to being the sharp witted, assertive, funny girl here in the office, going on 2 ½ years. Oh, do I have stories! But the attorney in me will NOT “breach any confidences.” So I along with the other CMG attorneys and the Vice President of the company examine the liability, damages, causation and value for lawsuits and claims. We work everyday to review cases for cash fundings for plaintiffs involved in various types of lawsuits.

Here is one… a wrongful termination and discrimination case we funded recently. A commercial driver was discriminated against and later wrongfully terminated by his employer. His annual earnings were significant and since his termination he has been unable to retain gainful employment. All you have to do is watch the first 5 minutes of the Today Show to know that the current economic conditions aren’t good for job searching now. It made me feel great to help this person through his financial struggles. Because of our cash funding, this plaintiff has a roof over his head….that feels good.

Just ask anyone — interesting and thought provoking cases put me in a good mood. I like to be busy….SO PLEASE SEND THEM OVER!!!!
